Responsible Gaming
Betting is entertainment, not a way to make money, and it isn’t for everyone. This page covers how to keep it that way, and where to get help if it stops feeling like a choice.
Play Within Your Means
- Decide a spending limit before you start, and treat it as final.
- Never chase a loss by increasing your next stake to cover it.
- Never bet with money set aside for essentials.
- Take regular breaks — don’t let a session run indefinitely.
Warning Signs
Betting more than you planned to feel “normal,” hiding activity from people close to you, borrowing to cover losses, or feeling anxious or irritable when you can’t play are all signs it’s worth stepping back and, if needed, getting support.
Tools on the Official Site
Fairplay’s own site is where deposit limits, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion are actually managed — this page can’t change your account settings. Look for a Responsible Gaming or Account Limits section there.
Getting Help
If gambling is affecting your wellbeing, relationships or finances, talking to someone helps. In India, Tele MANAS (14416 / 1-800-891-4416) is a free, confidential national tele-mental-health helpline that can support you with the stress and anxiety that often come with problem gambling, even though it isn’t a gambling-specific service. A doctor, counsellor or trusted person close to you is also a reasonable place to start.
18+ only
Betting is restricted to adults. If you are under 18, or the legal age in your jurisdiction if higher, do not use a betting site or app.
